Sensor Modding Slim PS2

I hope I'm in the right sub forum

But first of all I would like to ask whether or not it is ever possible to run a PSX backup on a PS2 without any hardware modifications, with purely .ELF files and FMCB (I have it installed don't worry).

If not then can anyone give me some advice on doing [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZM76GZf1_k"]this mod[/ame].

I know of PS2PSXE so please don't mention it. And I know that I could buy a small piece of plastic off swapmagic,but I'd rather do it myself.

The only softmod that allows you to play PS1 backups is the swap method. You can either use a swap/cheat disc or use PSXLauncher elf.
