Folks,
I'm looking for the Service Manual for SCPH-39001 model, I have found SCPH-30000 series (PAL models only eek!), but no v7 around.
Anyone can help me? PDF would be nice (Sony uses pdf too).

Service manual, or do you mean instruction manual? I have the instruction manual. I renamed the file when I first downloaded it to make it more accurate, so I'm not sure what the original file name was, but I think it was just "SCPH-39001N.pdf".
EDIT: Ok, I just found the Service Manual (I have that too). The manual I have has SCPH-30000, SCPH-30001, SCPH-30002, SCPH-30003, and SCPH-30004 listed on the cover. It also has "SCPH-30000 series SERVICE MANUAL 6th Edition" printed on the cover and says "Published in Japan c 5.2000 9-927-084-06" in small print, but the manual is in English. The file name is Sony PS2 SCPH-39001.pdf. My question is, isn't this illegal to upload here?

LOL, no, isn't the manual, is more like "diagram manual".![]()
Thanks anyway.
EDIT: Yes, I have that one, but is for PAL models, and v4, I want v7 NTSC U/C version. Those diagrams are public domain, isn't illegal, at least here.
Yes I know what you're looking for, I already edited my post explaining what I have. I have the Service Manual for SCPH-30000 to SCPH-30004, meaning v7 is in there. Anyway here is the link if it's not illegal to post. There are four .rar files "Multipart: 0 1 2 3" at this link. Total size of file when extracted is 9,934,280 bytes.
CORRECTION: OMG.. lol, I can't believe I didn't notice this, yes you're right Gradius, this is for a v4 not a v7. For some reason my mind kept seeing SCPH-39000 instead, must of been high on natural drugs that day.. lol Sorry for the confusion!![]()

I get this manual around 2 or 3 months ago.
I studied this Pdf and i found something courios on the page 13:
The datalines from one IC (IC501), that are going straight to the IDE/Ethernet-Connector
are exactly the same with the datalines, which are going
to the DVD-IC (IC 605), which then converts the data for the DVD. So do I see it.
If someone, who is specified on electronics, have a look on it, he can correct me, if i think wrong.![]()
I think it must be possible to connect (with wires) not only another DVD but also
an HDD for first device, instead of this sh..y Sony-DVD-Drive.
