Hi there!
I'm just wondering if there's any way to reset the internal bios settings in the PS2?
My brother changed my video output settings to RGB and saved it, now my screen is all messed up (becose I don't have a tv with RGB conectors). But besides that, I would like to see how a new ps2 starts ;)

NOT sure if this would work, but try taking out the internal battery for the bios.
It doesn't. Settings are saved on the EEPROM.
To fix this:
1- take the PS2 out of component cable.
2- connect it to the TV set using the A/V cable which came with it
3- go system settings
4- change it back to component signal
5- hook it up again to the video component cable

Hahahaha I know what you want to do ! You want to get rid of the parental lock on the DVD player !!!
at the parental lock menu do this:
choose the command to change the settings. that will make the password input screen pop. once it appears hold SELECT and enter 7444 as password.
that will unlock the thing.
Work even on the SCPH-10000 and LMAO it was on the manual... XD

I readed the whole PS2 manual looking for a way to reset the internal settings and I even found this select info hehehe but thanks :dance:
bridge one of the DVDpoints to grnd and the system will restart as a brand new system out of the box ,

Ah about DVD points he meant the A,B,C,D,E,G,H and I points ... But lol I sincerely think you might risk a corrupted EEPROM. And it will only boot like that when the points are bridged. It won't save to eeprom.
Sony has a program for PC and a hardware cable that allows the technician to make a PS2 go back to "out of the box status" if it's what you want to ... I suppose you turned on and set up a system you were not supposed to ... LOL
Unfortunately, without the Sony tools I say above there is no safe way to reset the PS2 back to "out of box" status... ;)
