Ok im not sure if this would work but instead of soldering to points together (wire to mainboard) couldnt u just put the wire over the point and just appy some black electric tape? or does it need that metal from that metal wire thing? (dont know how you call it)

That wouldn't work well, you probably won't get good connections. The best thing to do is solder.

If you don't know how, there are plenty of beginner guides on how to solder on the net, google them.

Or pay to have a modder do it for you.

that definitely wouldn't work. the wires would soon come loose and short to something killing your ps2. you need to solder them.

unless ur confident to solder it pay someone to do it, or look for a pre-modded console. Your gonna save yourself a whole lot of hassle.

I consider myself pretty usefull with a soldering iron but i still cooked my first install!!!
