I've just installed a Matrix Infinity chip in my V14 (GH-041-33) PStwo, but I get no power (no red light) when I try to connect it. I'm pretty sure the soldering and all that is good, and I have checked the main fuse. Does anyone know what might be the problem?

I also tried to find the problem in my friends v7/v8 PS2 with a dms 3 chip installed. All the solderings seem to be good, but I get a black screen when I turn it on, and the cd tray wont eject. I checked the ribbon cable to the power/eject buttons, all the wires are working. Can anyone tell me what more to check...?
