pstwo v12 version unknow

Hi all,

I have a pstwo without modchip and never had a modchip before.
When i switch on the pstwo the video start but in black and white and i must to config time, languaje... when do a reset the config dont are stored and i must to config again the pstwo (. In the explorer i push triangle and on version apparears "UNKNOW" i change the bios from another pstwo and i have the same problem, unknow version. Checked all fuses and shortcircuits. anyone know the possible solution? or in what component the config is stored? thanks all and sorry for english

? So you've never had a soldering iron near this ps2? Did you buy it new from the store or second hand from someone. From my point of view it sounds like a short between 2 pins on the bios but I dunno for sure if its that since the version is unknown to the system.
