PSTwo V12, the laser "engine" does not work....?

I installed a Matrix Infinity in a PSTwo V12. First of all I had the PS14-problem with the green light turning into red in a half of a sec, so I changed the fuse and it worked. But I have also another problem, the Matrix screen comes up as usual. The laser reads like it supposed to and i can see the laserlight...but engine does not work. The DVD does not spin on any DVD/CD, original, backup etc

What is the problem?....please help!

Check fuse PS13, it's probably blown. Replacements are 0.4A

no, I havent applied any fix yet....but then I didnt have the chance to start it to blow the RS2004FS. As soon as I started it the PS14 was blown and now the DVD does not spin.

And regarding to the PS13 mp3boy....it was true, it was blown. Will change it tomorrow and get back to you.

Hope it works...

But can it possibly be the RS2004FS that is blown if it will not work?

Thanks mp3boy....it worked. The DVD spins like hell. But now i have a new problem. The Matrix Infinity logo pops up in the beginning. The DVD reads and spins exactly like it supposed to. But...the "Playstation 2" does not appear. :S

It keeps spinning but the game does not load....tested with backup, original and software upgrade discs...

Everything is solved now

It was the Matrix Infinity chip that was corrupt, believe it or not. But it was. And it was a Greendot!

I removed the chip on the first machine and switched to a new one with new wires and everything and worked perfect. Then I mounted the same chip that didnt work (spinning but no logo) on a new one. Not working and the problem was the same. Same wires and another chip. WORKS 100%!

I think I'm the first one to have a corrupt Matrix Infinity.or am I mistaking *-)?
