I got a flip top for my PSTwo today and tried to install it; long story short I have a left over part and my PSTwo won't power on *d'oh*. The left over part is a spring which fell out while removing the old lid (I'll include a picture of the spring); I assumed it was just to help the lid raise when the eject button was pressed, but I couldn't figure how to reattach it or even where it had came from. Naturaly being eager I decided ehhh I'll be using the flip top any ways so screw the spring and threw the PSTwo back togeather. When I pluged it in it had the red LED light as normal but I tried to turn it on and nodda.

    PSTwo Model SCPH-70012

Any help or ideas as to what may have gone wrong are greatly appearciated. Only two things i could think of are 1) The spring is an important part; 2) I broke some thing off the button or circut board for the power (I couldn't see any visualble flaws though)

*Spring fell out between unscrewing the two little screws under the old lid and removing the old lid.

*From what I can see the cable to and from the power button circut is in perfect condition

UPDATE I found out where my little spring goes , still working on the power issue though

umm the spring dosen't really have anything to do with the power... I say that you damaged something regarding the power switch on that area, if you had like detailed pictures of the board and all i'm sure we could all help
-every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around-

Thank ya kindly for the reply, a electrition friend came over and made me relise that in the process of removing the case I accendently knocked off the switch on the power circut board (was complexed by the board until he came over and found the peice I had knocked off). But I got her up and running now
