PS2 v9 doesn't detect HDD / NetAdapter Busted?
As the topic states it doesn't detect the HDD not in uLe, OPL or HDL.
It worked just yesterday when i wanted to install a new game to the HDD from Windows.
So i started up my PC and connected the drive while Windows is ON (mind you this always worked before also with my xbox hdd).
This makes a popping sound like a fuse going off and my pc turns black.
I try to start up the computer again and it just doesn't start at all (no power?) until i remove the PS2 drive.
Then i try putting the drive back into the ps2 and it's not being detected.
So, i got myself another drive and formatted it with WinHiiP, installed the games again and set it to master.
Everything is fine according to WinHiiP but the ps2 just doesn't see it.
I've checked it on this site PS2 Hard Drive Compatibility Chart and it's supposed to work.
So does any one know what the problem could be or how i solve it?
I have tried connecting a lan cable to test the network/hdd adapter and the lights are not functioning. Maybe it's the ETH/HDD adapter that's busted? If so is anyone willing to sell me a working one :P ?
Or is it one of these fuses http://psx-scene.com/forums/attachme...-023_fuses.jpg that has gone thanks to me connecting a busted hdd?
