ps2 v12 power input

hi, i got this v12 and the power jack on the mainboard is damaged and doesnt make contact anymore, and i'd recon this would be a comon problem.. so im sure someone could help me out with some questions i have.

firstly the positive terminal is the problem. as the soldering point has broken off the board and there is nothing to solder to anymore. so i would need to know if i can just jump the terminal straight to the main fuse directly behind the solder pad....

i have uploaded a pic, and in yellow i have outlined the problem area and also in white i have outlined where the fuse is.....

so if its possible could someone maybe check the continuity between the positive pad and the fuse.....or if there is a better fix.. please let me know...

well i decided to take a gamble , and i just linked the positive of the power plug pcb to the right hand side of the fuse.....the only thing is , i hope i havent bypassed the fuse all together.......but besides that it works fine so far......

i really dont know why they make portable units with such a crappy power input...we have had lots of notebooks here at work with same problem......

ok people not much of a thread anymore, but feel free to let me know your thoughts on this problem....
