The laser is not dead because it works perfectly in an other ps2.
    De motor etc. also works.

So the problem would be on the board..

The laser moves forward and then the red laser becomes visible.
But the laser wont move back properly.
When I open the tray (or release the buttons that represent the tray) you can see it stops when trying to move back.

    The ps2 is not modded!

I will post a video asap.

    Ok, here is the video.

I put some tape on the 'closed-lid'-button at the powerbutton so i could hold my camera.

Hope the quality is not too bad..

check for any loose screws or a dirty motor/gear that moves the laser back. Also clean out the laser arm that guides it back and forth.

clean the laser arm guide.(make sure there isnt any dirt or anything in the threads)
put some type or lube on it.....not wd-40.something thick.but dont put too much on it.
and check the screws and tighten them up or vise versa.
