jsut finished modding my first v12 with a dms4 pro se booted originals with no probs prior, and no probs with dvd-r movies, i had a neo XIV in it but it wouldent boot properly with the fix powered on so i desoldered it off and now it wont read games, i measured what i could of the resistors one lookes alittle damaged, lookks like the top metalish area was pulled off on one sife and its measureing 5.4 on the tracking and 4.8 on the focus

hi, umm you need the lens fix for the v12 by not having it you risk damaging you laser, coils and the RS2004FS chip. may have already happened
have you installed toxic yet?? and does the system read any media at all( cdr's any type of dvd)???

system reads nothing, no cdr no dvd, no dvd origanal, from what i have read the neofix isent the most effective and if its burned ill replace and get a better fix, but when the fix was installed the system wouldent boot properly it booted as if the tb points where still shorted out"brigde" boot on 3 sec then power off

did you remove the solder point (bridge)from the fix after you installed it or was that still left there that would cause your problem. You can also try to use j2 instead of j1 , I had to do that with a v12 and it worked perfectly. have a look around to makesure your wires aren't grounding out on the board(extra solder, solder spots, or just a wire soldered to the board. you can try to remove the power and ground from the chip and see if it boots up normally that way( be careful not to short out the board this way by letting any loose wires touch anything),or even remove the install completely. maybe you just forgot to remove the solder point from the fix(hopefully).
