I have replaced the spindle motor, then I replaced the whole laser assembly too. I have removed the anti-static solder point from the laser. I have checked the two trip switches are working. I have checked all ribbons are connected. I have checked that the laser worm arm is in position. Basically these are all the answers I have found and checked that aren't the problem.
I don't know what else to do, I have searched all over the internet and not found the same problem or solution anywhere.
It powers up, goes to the browser screen but there is no laser movement, not even if I move the laser to the middle. There is no light from the laser. There is no movement from the disc spindle. The motherboard looks fine with no cracks or loose connections or solder points broken.
The laser assembly I replaced it with was said to have been tried and tested according to the ebay seller, but I can't definitely rule it out.
If there is anything I have missed please tell me? Please help?
