PS2 SCPH-75001 replacement laser

Hello all,

I know someone with a slim PS2 model 75001 that stopped reading discs. Does anyone have any recommendations for the type of laser that should be used and/or a reliable source to get them from?

PVR-802W or KHM-430.

I had ordered a PVR-802W for a V12 that I have a while ago. I thought I had heard somewhere that some versions required the PVR-802W and some required the KHM-430. Do you know if this is true or are they interchangeable?

They're fully interchangeable. The KHM is just slightly better quality. But they are interchangeable. Just swap the lasers (make sure the anti-static point is desoldered) and you're good to go.
