    Hello

I have sent my ps2 to some guy who made an auction on ebay for modding ps2s. he wrote that he'd build in a crystal chip. well, anyways, today i finally got it back and i of course immediately wanted to check if everything was okay. the first thing i noticed that he took away the sticker with the serial number of the ps2. 2nd thing i noticed, was that one of the rubber thingy with a screw beneath was glued and had a very sticky sticker on it.

so i turned on the ps2 and tried to load up a game. but whenever the drive tries to load sth it makes a noise kinda like a type-writer ?!? and won't load :/
i tried it with both a backup and an original copy. the backup would boot to the titlescreen, but after pressing start that noise would come up. and with the original copy i wouldn't even come that far

i also tried to watch original dvd-movies, but the ps2 didn't recognize the disc :/

have you got any idea what this could be and how to fix this ?

it's a fat ps2 (not the slim one)

yeah, i'm guessing he changed my ps2 with somebody's else because before i sent it to him, i could play my originals and watch dvds with no problem. but unfortunately i can't prove it :/

I am gonna try the alcohol tip, cheers m8
