PS2 problem :No Data on any media:
PS2 problem :No Data on any media: –
...bad news, I tried to install the Modbo laser fix just until Monday so I could play some games and the PS2 started and then restarted itself, and then kinda went off.... The light turned bright green for a second and then to a very dim green and the PS2 no longer reads anything as far as CD/DVD's go. I took the mobo thing out and replaced the laser and it still does the same thing.
Now the PS2 boots up properly, straight to the browser screen and when I try to read a PS2 game/ backup/ anything it says there is no data... I wired the mobo according to this diagram:
Modbo Laser Fix
What could be the problem and what do I need to do to fix this?
I have the same problem with a v13, replaced the wide lens with a new one but still give me the no data screen. the thing is that the laser that I thought was fried is working fine in a new machine. I don't know what else to do, checked every fuse, removed the modchip, checked resistors, and still same results.
did you get yours running?
