ok so i had a matrixII chip installed and i removed it from my ps2 ! i was pretty careful doing so i just cut the wires off and made sure there arent any bridged connections so but now it wont display anything in the screen! + when i start it i get a green light from the switch but it wouldnt restart or anything to get it off i have to remove the power? did anyone ever have this before please help i am stuck here! thank you ! i appreciate your help!!!
    ----------------------------------------------------------
now that was before but now it is DEAD!!! it wont power it wont turn on or anything!!! it is like when i plug it in power its like i havent done anything!!! it is dead nothing! it wont open it wont trun on it wont do anything! its just like i havent even plugged it in power!!! HELP me please it is not even my ps2!!! please help me! i am stuck here and i have to give it back to its owner by the end of the week! as i said at first after i removed the mochip it would indicate that it has power but wouldnt give me anything in the TV! now it is not responding and here is what i think happened:
arent there some small brown things that have two connections! i dont know what they are called but they look like this:
ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting
the ones in the red square ok! so anyways the modchip was connected to one of them so when i pulled that specific wire! it kinda removed the soldering from one side of that thingand scraped some of that brown off! so i thought at first! aaahg its ok i guess but then when i plugged it the above happened! gave a redlight in the switch when i plug it! then get green but wont trun on! i get nothing in the screen! and then i retried couple of minutes later ! DEAD! no response! plese help me the bloody thing isn even mien! thank you
    ----------------------------------------------------------

LMAO. You guys are so funny.

The red light is actually the digital audio OUTPUT stream from the PS2 and it CANNOT be turned off. By selecting "Optical output off" on the console options cause the PS2 to stop sending data to the port, but does not turn the red light off.

It's just that you never noticed it before. The black lid on the front of the connector is there to block that light if there's no cable connected as it could be annoying in a dark room while you're watching a movie. Also, it's there to protect the connection from gathering dust.

If you knocked that door out then you could pop some paper in it or some sticker to block the light out. I honestly only use that output to get the audio from my PS2. The sound is so much better...

If your console is working fine, leave that red light alone (or better get something that can use optical audio and use it, you will like the better sound) lol

Can you make HIGH RESOLUTION pictures of where the modchip was connected ?

Anything bigger than 1024x768 will do.

The purpose is see if there's short circuits or cut traces.
