Hey all,
I tried to install a Duo3 chip onto a pretty new, barely used V12 PS2. It was working fine before. Now when I put in a CD or DVD, the laser moves into place, then there is this loud clicking kind of noise for about 2 seconds, the laser flashes a red light for a split second and turns off. The disk doesn't spin.
I've taken out the chip and the LU protection and cleaned all the points. Anyone know what could be the problem?

Also, can anyone recommend a good manual that covers PS2 slims and with in-depth troubleshooting?
