Playstation2 technical difficulties!

HI,

I have a "SCPH-30001 -v5 (matrix infinity I beleve)" and it has been setting for about 6 months in a closet. It worked that last time I remember. It wont play dvd's, cdr's, backups, originals. It just says load disk and wont read.

My question is what are my options on fixing this. I have opened a ps2 and soldered before.

You can try cleaning the lens, if not then adjusting diode's voltage, if not, same problem as me, new optical unit. Look for more info in this link http://gstimports.com/psx/database.php
