In my quest to know more about the PS2's video, and hopefully trick the PS2 into Progressive Scan without a boot disc like Xploder HDTV, I did some googling and found this page:

    (WorldWideWeb).eserviceinfo.com/download.php?fileid=27755

It is here that you can download a copy (in PDF) of a Service Manual (complete with a secondary manual) for SCPH-30000 model PS2's. Contains detailed schematic and circuit board information along with parts lists. The secondary manual shows you how to disassemble a Version 4 PS2.

Very, very useful for those wanting to know more about their older PS2's (and hack them up).

According to this page it is a very recent upload (last month). Although it says that this is in multi-part form you only need to download the file on that page. The other files appear to be empty folders.

(By the way, what's this rule about not being allowed to post links to other URLs until after 15 posts about?)

Yeah... about that, it doesn't include an SCPH-30000 model that I have. It has the white wire eject connector of the V1's so I'm really confused cause I need it.
SCPH-7501 PSX - Basic chip, hole in case
    V7 PS2 - Broken, needs DVD drive
V13 PSTwo - XCM Crystal Clear Case (is it?), XenoPS installed
Version Unknown PS2 - Broken controller port, slight damage to case, To Be Repaired and Resold when it arrives
    XBOX V1.4 - X2 4983 TSOP Flashed

RARusk: You're wasting your time, you will not be able to force progressive output with any form of hardware modification. The Xploder HDTV is forcing the output from software and emulating things like interlacing. There's no possible way to do this from hardware, sorry.

also, it's rather common these days for forums to not allow you to post URLs until you've posted a few times. this is to stop spammers from posting URLs to malware sites that people with bad impulse control cannot keep themselves from clicking on. ;P
