The only way I know to bypassed the Playstation startup screen is to modify your PS2 using dev1 or dev2 capable modchip. In this way you can launch homebrew applications automatically without the playstation startup screen.

No what im looking for is where the info for that little start up screen and brower screens are stored, because i have made a new browers interface and start up screen that is like the psp menu but i want to embed it into the playstation and get rid of the old one. also i dont really need to worry bout breaking my ps2 as i have 7 PS2s and 2 PSTwos. Cheers

Thanx for all ur replies but i have worked it out. The ps2 BIOS is made up of a lot of ELF files so i just Dumped the BIOS unpacked it Changed and edited the ELF files Packed it back up reverse engineered the bios dumper so it puts it back and now i have a PS2 that has a PSP Interface and works excellently but so far it only works on my V7 PAL ps2 i have tried it on a V9 PAL and Slimline but ill rewrite it for those versions and hopefully rerlease it. Cheers^_^

Wow, sounds complicated, but I like the outcome!
    Nice job!
Once you have it done, you should try to get it on the headlines of ps2-scene!

Sorry if this post is a bit meaningless...

If this is true, then you are going to be the new exploit hero, as this could make modchips obsolete... ....but i dunno..

At the very least a possible exploit for the slim if he can get it working. Although I'd like to see some screen shots of it working. I curious as to how he unpacked and repacked the dumped bios. As for replacing modchips, I don't think that will happen and please correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't authentication occur within the DVD controller? But I can see it having the possibility of being able to boot homebrew from the browser. Just my 2 cents on it.
