No Spin from my v13 slim.

I installed a dms4 lite in my v13 slim. Everything is fine, no black screen or anything like that, but the dvd/cd drive doesn't spin or do anything for that matter. All the ribbon cables are hooked up, played with the fliptop switch a little to see if that was an issue. and nothing. could i have burned out a fuse? please help

Umm did you try to install some kind of fix? Maybe you burnt a resistor. Umm try to take off the cd dvd points and clean up that area then try again

never installed a fix.. i don't need to with a v13 right?... i hope... but the cd/dvd points are the holes under the drive, correct? on a dms4 it's P, O, U, W. so i guess i'll try that, clean them up, and solder again.

ok, i re-soldered the cd/dvd points and i get nothing now. black screen. not the flickering black screen like the bios problem. just a black screen. Another problem is that X keeps falling off, i wish i knew where an alterntive point was for it, becuase i have problems soldering to that point all the time.

If black screen after cd/dvd points, check for ground on wire B on the matrix infinity diagrams (its not called B on dms4 diagrams)

If no spinning, check fuse14 or fuse11, ( i dont remember which )
If no spinning, check also the solder point on other side of mobo, if this is bridged the laser wont spin.
