  1. #1 Network Adapter MAC address

I have my home network currently setup so that it only gives IP addresses to specific MAC addresses. I do this so I keep people from stealing my internet, and so that I know which computer has which IP address. I'm going to buy the network adapater for my brother for christmas, and I was just making sure that I can find out the MAC address of the network adapter so I can give an IP address. Thanks.

    well
usely mac address is writen on the network adapter itself ...
if not , im sure you will find it in ps2 nic configuration after you run the nic disk.
if not ... you can always turn mac filtering off on your router , let the ps2 connect , router will see the mac address .
    but
if you talking about wireless network (this is only reason i see for mac filtering) i dont think it will make a different for cable conection to the router ..
if all of this is not the case ignore what i said on the last part

Hello ! To obtain the adapter mac address all you need is the utility disc that comes with it. It has a utility to display the mac address. Also PS2s with the official HDD installed will display the mac address on the version screen (triangle button at the browser screen)

To obtain your PS2's MAC u can also look under your routers settings (normally most routers allow u to access them by typing in 192.168.0.1 in the internet explorer address bar then typing in the username and no password) then look under the DHCP option or look under the log. Of course the PS2 will need to have had some recent online activity for the router to display it's IP and MAC (normally most routers give the PS2 the IP of 192.168.0.10 this should help when looking for the PS2's MAC)
