    bought a v4, tested with gta vice city and worked fine, took it home, opened and cleaned it with air duster. and now it tries to read discs but in the end i get disc read error..
    i need someone i can take it to locally. i might want it chipped too, depending on price.

    i found out the problem..old ps2 games work and new ones like kingdom hearts 2 and codebreaker 10 dont..even a greatest hits psx game doesnt work.

    which eXplains why i found this in a pawn shop for under 50 bucks..

    so..do i need a new updated laser? hopefully everything will boot, yes?

    Clean the laser head with alcohol before you give up on it. Dont blow dust near the laser assembly because you will get dust on all the lenses and mirrors inside the laser.
