    Hi

    i'm installing a chipmodpro mod chip (from modchip.ca). im installing it on a mainboard modle #GH-041-04 in the slim ps2(SCPH-75001). the link below is for the install pic of the board. when installing the chip, i was soldering the "sx" pin. the component that the pin connects to desoldered its self. dose anyone know the value of that part or where i could find that info?

    PStwo should work without that smd.

    what dose that little guy do if its not essential for the ps2 to work? i would like still like to try and replace it if i can, do you have any info on the value of the cap?

    it seems to be 470nf capacitor. It serves to feed the DSP with the SCEx signal from original PS1 discs. If you were to give up on modding this PS2, it would not run PS1 originals without that cap.

    hey thanks for the info. i did finish moding the ps2. it works fine, i havent tried a psx game yet. lucky i still have my psx. thanks again
