My PS2 will not boot. Questing about 68 ohm resisters.
I have a v15 ps2. I installed then removed a matrix infinity mod chip. My ps2 will not boot up now. When I plug in the power, the red led on the power button comes on. When I press the power button, It turns green, but I get no video out.
I found what I think is a 68 ohm resistor that I must have burned while soldering. It's a chip labled 680 with 8 pins and four resistors on the chip. (its the T solder point for the matrix infinity chip). When I jump the two leds of the resistor then try booting, it will boot normally.
My question is, Is it safe to run the system without the resistor by jumping its leds? or do I need to replace the resistor?
I've attached two photos to point out the component i'm talking about.
Thanks for any help.
