    Hello,
I just installed a Messiah 750 Mod chip in a brand new Slim EURO PAL 75004 GH-041-34 PS-2.
    http://www.cj-inter.com/modchip/smal...AND%20NTSC.jpg

The chip does work, but I encountered some problems!
Some times in random, when I insert a PS-2 game CD/DVD (Either original or copy), it will begin to boot but after the ?PlayStation 2 Logo? shows up, it will show the Red screen saying that it does not recognize the disc. Some times it will even go past the PlayStation 2 logo screen but it will give me the Red screen after the game title screen shows up and after I press the start button.

This happens randomly in both original & copied CD/DVDs and I don?t seem to find any specific pattern!

    I used the H2O V14 diagrams:
    http://d-vices.com/subzero/h2o-14.jpg

I have connected the ?Z? point but not the ?H? or "F" point which is for the Japanese PS-2s.

The only thing that could have gone wrong was that I originally connected the 5V point of the chip on a ground point on the PS-2 PCB. So when I 1st started the PS-2 it did not boot up at all, but I corrected that and now it works but with the above random problems.
The rest of the connections are all fine.

Could this be a defective chip?

I've read that you should not connect the "Z" point, but could that be causing the problem?

    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

Yeah have had this problem on Gh41-04 board. RSOD randomly after ps2 logo . I was using the gold dot h20 though. Great chip for anything up to v13.But in the v14's they have this problem. I would guess that it's the same problem with the messiah 750 . I tried everything but couldn't fix the problem. Used a different chip and all works well now. I used a Modbo745.

    Hope this helps

    Yes, thanks for the info!

I disconnected point "Z" but the problem persists.

How about the MOBBO 750 v1.82?
Will that solve the problem and work better on the GH-041-34 PS-2?

Is the MODBO 750 v1.82 an ?Autoboot? mod chip like the Matrix Infinity or do you have to press Reset button to cycle between PS-1/2/DVD modes?

If so could anybody post the operation modes for the Modbo?

    Thanks in advance.

modbo750 is the same as modbo4.0 and in function it's the same as 745 just different layout. the 750 uses an extra wire for clock. i have tested it in a pal v14 and it seems to be pretty well.

I know this post is old but for whoever runs into this problem, I found it to be a power issue. Replaced ground and voltage with thicker (and shorter) wires and all went well.
