mine works just like a genuine MC, it doesn't require any boot-disc. so, is it the type?
I have had one that required a boot-disk ended up throwing it in the bin lol

OK I'm gonna give it a shot, which format utility do you use guys, link me to it if possible please
Just search for the MCA/MC Annihilator 2.0-Release-Thread.
Download the programm, read the stuff and start the app.
It is pretty self-explaining.
Format it with 32MB-Size, but be aware that a successful format doesn't indicate that your MC really is a 32MB-MC.
You can try that by moving a file bigger than 16MB on that MC (for example from USB with uLE's Filebrowser).
A 30MB-AVI would do fine thought, since after you moved that file to MC, you can put it back on USB with a different name, or in a folder and then try to start it with SMS.
Much thanx TnA
damn luck, none out of 6 MC (2xdatel MagicGate) turned 16/32
Most interesting would be the Datel 16MB.
So you tried 6MCs and verified their space after that?
...and your 16MB-MAX didn't turn into a 32MB-MC/MAX?
yes, I concentrated more on the Datel, formated it several times with MCA/MC Annihilator 2.0 (selecting 32mb formating methode) but when I try to copy some file exceeding 16mb (20mb for example) it hangs when reaching 18,512 Kb (18mb). thats all
Any tips where to buy good MC's for FMCB ? I'm interested in chinese suppliers they have them cheaper .
So it seems to be proven, that there are real 16MB-MAX-MCs out there...
Another thing: Is your MAX-MC from a newer batch (paper-label on MC), or from the older batches (the very first used plastic-sticker/label for the MC).
I guess there were also batches with paper-label, but still the older 16MB-Chips inside.
