    After destroying my slim pstwo's reset ribbon cable and being unable to find another one I bought a fat ps2 and I'm going to crack it open and give it a shot. I found a diagram for the version 5 but this one point confuses me and its the SCEX point. What the hell goes there? I've attached a picture to show what's confusing me.

    The SX wire is the hardest point to solder on some models.

    It is only needed if you wish to play PS-One "backups", if you don't have a need personally for that feature, you can not even brother installing this wire.

    And like amp points out if you do wish to install it, it goes from point labelled SCEX on the picture to the SX pad on the chip.
