lenschanger help

Hi guys.. i'm trying to put a hd-7 into my v4 ps2

Its struggling to play anything at the moment... wont do dvdr.. cdr.. original dvd.. does original audio cd

I've made a cdr of the lenschanger iso and it tries to boot i think.. but i end up with the word playstation in middle of the screen and SCEE at the bottom and there it hangs? is this the start of the disc loading and crashing or just an error that it cant load the cdr ?

any help is appreciated

1. if you have a chip look if it has dev 1/2 and boot the elf
2. see if psx games boot (most worn lasers still play them) if so you can boot the elf through the exploit

It's an old messiah chip.. not sure if it can be exploited... how do i check?

Note. HD7 on V4 if replacing 400B yo need to atach small pice of mettle or plastic to laser to activate stop switch in drive with out it you will only get click click click and no laser.. Good luck

I'm going to swap the whole drive unit from the v8 ps2 that had the hd7 in... not just the laser.. is that ok just take the whole thing out??

saves messing with anything then ?

Shuld work if its actulay a V8 if v9-11 laser in those drives might have dvd diode burn

Yep deffo a v8 mate or a v7

Still cant find anyway to get this lenschanger to boot with the existing 400b drive in... i think it loads the cd (gets playstation logo then SCEE and hangs) but then crashes.. read a few posts on here saying lenschanger software crashes on some modchips.. mines the original messiah 2 i think...

I've got no network adapter... I havent got the special ps2 usb lead (pl2301 - pl2303 ... i think it called) .. Am i out of options ?

have you actually tried booting the lenschanger disc with the new laser in, sometimes it will read cd and not dvd or other way round before using lenschanger.

or make sure the resistor is on the lower 2 points and not the top ones and then the hd7 should work
