    Hi all.

I just finished my matrix infinity install and although the ps2 boots up and I can access the matrix config menu, the laser makes a grinding noise and the head just moves back and forth at the front of the unit. Games were of course working fine before I did the install so something must have happened when I was soldering.

Anyone have any ideas what I can check on the board? The ribbon cables are all plugged in correctly.

    My ps2 is SCPH-75003 PAL GH-040-52

I also had one tiny hiccup during the install where some solder from the iron splashed over a resistor and I had to remove it with a solder sucker. Perhaps I messed something up in the process?

EDIT: I checked the two resistors and they are both giving me readings of around 24.2 ohms so I think they are ok...

    Pictures attached.
