I tried to replace my LA chip once before, and it was an endless process. I managed to pull the old chip off with a razor, but when I try to put the new LA chip in, I was clueless on how to solder the point.

Could someone please show me step by step on how to solder the LA chip into its place? Picture would definitely help. Thanks in advance.

Re-soldering the IC should be easier than removing it without the right tools. Remove the solder from the pads with some wick so that they are all flat (instead of bulging with solder), then position the chip on top of it. Solder only a corner pin so the IC stays in place, then position all pins so they line up perfectly. Finally, solder the rest.
