    I have an US SPH-390001.
    recently the laser died.
I replaced it with the one that they are selling in Divineo.
Thing is now when I power up, the power button red led is on. If I press the power button, then the button goes off, the PS2 starts but the green led is off.
But the PS2 still does not read disks.

Is this due to the lens or is it something else that I need to check?

I want to say it's your power/eject ribbon cable.
