Installing Matrix Infinity Green Dot –

I got few questions!
I've read the install manual from the matrix website, and in the needed stuff it's mentionned to use 20 or 22 awg wire, for ground and 3.3v wire, does it really matter if I use 24 awg wire for those?!?
And I was thinking about this.. do I have to put something on the chip after the installation to avoid shortcut? 'cause the ps2 case is in metal?

24 awg should be fine.
avoid shortcut? Not sure what you mean, if you mean short, just make sure your ground wire is soldered properly, and use two sided tape to hold the chip to the board to keep it from moving around.
Look at some pictures of installs in the forum, it'll give you some ideas of where and how to stick your chip on the board.
