How to make VGA port?
I have old v12 with useless modem port.. I want to change that port to useful port like VGA, i know there is a RCA to VGA converter but I just curious how to "take" video output and transfer it to VGA display without any external device...
is it possible?
Erm, you can't get any Video-Output out of a modem jack o.O
And there's the pinouts:
And there's one simple circuit with one sync stripper, to get RGBHV from RGBC:
Of course u could try to find the sync sources from PS2 board, so u would not need the chip, but it takes more accurate soldering.
And u wont need the chip in between if ur monitor supports sync-on-green.
And to get VGA from PS2, u need games that support it.
@H4ndy: of course we can't take Video out from Modem, I just think to remove that modem device and do some drill to make holes then fix VGA port with two screws...
ok, I interested for do tiny soldering on the v12 motherboard, now I need a soldering point picture...
can someone give the picture?
Just use the pinout link i gave, and trace the soldering points with multimeter beeper or something.
Or if u ment by tiny soldering, the sync points, see attached, it's next to analog converter chip, and that is near A/V port.
you have great schematic indeed ^^
