Was wondering if its possible to check a new laser, if its working or not? I mean it may not be a faulty laser causing the problem but something else. So how can I make sure the laser is ok?
Measure coils directly on the laser ? If so, where are the points?

Cause at the moment, the ps2 v12 causing these problems is not moving the laser at all. During startup with a disc in the tray it makes a small sound and then nothing.
Also, if I wanna check the laser lens if it goes red. How can that be done?
