My friend's PS2 was dropped and now the tray will not open. Also, it does not read the disc that is already in the tray. How can I fix this?

A friend of mine dropped his PS2 (v5) and the tray was stuck half in half out. He gave it to me and bought a slim PS2 the next day. Well, I took it apart, re-aligned the tray and put it back together and it worked fine.
