Hopefully revive randomly *dead ps2 –
I started playing my ps2 again, using the new versions of OPL with usb (Thanks Devs!). I went to bed one night after playing a game, and when I woke up in the morning it wouldn't start up. The LED is blank. I checked on the reset board cable, and one of the pins was broken. I hand soldered the reset board on, checking all the connections, which are perfectly fine. However, the board is still not responding. The power brick is supplying enough electricity. After doing some research, I am pretty sure that one of the fuses dropped dead on me. There are not any fuse diagrams for the newer revisions of the ps2 ( scph- 79001, mobo: GH-062-02). Any other possible culprits that could hopefully be fixed? I thought I found the broken fuse, but after wiring around it the red light still doesn't go on. I'm scanning the board for all the fuses, but the technical comments are not very helpful.
is this the one?
Hopefully the diagram refers to this fuse?:
This fuse is unresponsive. Is it special?
