The machine is 35000,the working voltage should be 100v,unfortunately,it was connected with 220v,then,it's dead completely. After it's disassembled, the motherboard version was GH-014. Someone told me there were some smd resistors which might be damaged and should be replaced. Is it corrected?
Dose anyone know where these problems could be?how to fix it?
    Thanks in advance.

When you say it's completely dead, do you mean that not even the red light comes on?

There is a barrel-type fuse on the power circuit board, are you sure that isn't blown?

You are looking at the wrong board.

Power board is broken, and maybe this main board. Check this big glass fuse on a powerboard.

    Thanks for your reply.
Yes,the power light doesn't light up anymore.First,I also thought the power plate could be broken, however,I got another 110v machine as spare,so i just swapped the doubtful one for the good one,it works flawless, which means the doubtful power plate should be good. Then, the only problem should return to somewhere of the main motherboard. That's why I am asking for help.Cheers.

What was the model number of that spare 100V/110V console?
The SCPH-10000 and SCPH-15000 consoles used a power supply that outputted a lower voltage.

Power supply board has gone "POP".

Find an scrap unit for your region (Are you in U.K. ?) and take the power supply board and power connector to your U.S.A. PS2. That should make it work again.
The power supply board will reduce the mains from 220v AC to 12V DC which is what the PS2 needs.

Resulting machine will work fine connected straight to mains without the step down transformer.

But definitely what has gone POP is the power supply, not the PS2 mainboard.

Thanks for your reply.I checked the power board with a multimeter, the glass fuse is good. What else could be the problem? cheers.

I'm telling you to replace the whole power supply circuit board with one from an console for your own region. It will allow you to run the console correctly with the mains voltage from your area.

Unfortunately, repair the power supply is something difficult to do without proper training. You could even cause it to explode and leak fluids from capacitors upon powering it up, if you do any mistake during the repair.

That's why I'm telling you to replace it completely.

Anyway if you're adamant about having the original power supply repaired, find a TV technician on your area.
