Help Accessing Ps2 Hard Drive Via PC

I can confirm a successful drive-to-larger drive (with access to the larger capacity) clone by way of Miray Software's HD Clone software.

OH? thats exactly what I was looking for to clone onto another drive

FFXI is DNAS protected. You can just delete it as it won't work anywhere but on the drive it was installed at.Also you can't use it on non SONY drives.

thats the thing, i was trying to transfer it to another 40GB sony drive.

Won't work. You need to install from scratch.

I'd recommend you to format the drive, install the game and once it's installed (does not matter if you install expansions or update the game) install your homebrewn/hdloader stuff.

Now if you're willing to backup the files to skip updates, you can try to use an hacked version of ULE to copy the bulk of the files from one HDD to the other (after you installed the game on the new HDD and the game partition is ready to receive new files)
