Another story from me... Well I installed the DMS4 Chip today... again... and when I insert a disc from the ps2 browser all it does is spin and click, not launching or reading... So what points are wrong? Im thinking of the vias on the front of the motherboard... If its not that then what is it? And I need some tips on how to solder in the via holes... I just can't get solder in there. How do I do it??

    Sorry, my fault.

Pictures of YOUR work/soldering and YOUR hardware...

I never had probs with DMS chips in V4-V10 and i never got a defective one...
But you must have soldering skills and it depends the location of the chip.
Ground is important, must be really short.

    Rgds.

PS: Found pictures of a nice dms installation...

There´s no big soldering difference between DMS3 and DMS4.
    Here´s a V7.

    CU

PS: The installation was not finished while taking the pix...

Wow. I really need practice. Funny tho because the chip works even when the wiring is horrible..
