Fat PS2 39001 won't output video via component –
Well, like the title says, I've got a fat ps2 that won't output via component cables.
I've got a second fat ps2 that works just fine with component cables, and I do know how to go into the video settings and set it to output to component and not rgb, yet, this one particular ps2 refuses to output video via component cable.
Any advice on what might cause it to dislike component output but work fine with the standard av cables (when set to rgb)?
I've read in many many threads with component problems that it can be caused by a fuse,
personally I have a PS2 that doesn't do anything other than powering up and its supposed to be a sameliar problem
Ah I see. Might you know if there is some guide to the fuses, as to where I'd look and how to replace them?
Thanks for the advice
Yes I did see that sticky, unfortunately the only photo I saw didn't list any fuse for the video, or at least maybe I didn't understand if one of them listed was for video issues? (Maybe one of the 'regulator' ones?). Also, it doesn't say how to check of the fuse is bad, and the picture is a bit small. I've only ever checked house fuses and car fuses before which are pretty obvious to tell when bad. That's why I had wondered if perhaps there was an actual guide on dealing with them, something with a little more depth that could help out someone like me who is relatively lost (but willing to try) when it comes to this stuff.
