Does ps2 slim work without fan ?

Hi everybody i have a ps2 slim and the fan its not working anymore (i dont know the reason why) so i wanna ask ya can i use my ps2 without a fan ? would that overheat my console or i should buy a new fan ? What you suggest ?

Not sure how much a fan cost, or if you are familiar with the working on PS2, but yes, you need the fan....they are not to be over-looked...they are VERY important to the console...never run your system w/o a fan....

look @ ebay the price for a replacement fan is very low

Yes you can run it without fan, with no casing, for 5 minutes, and then it shuts off by failsafe, or damages permanently.

i wouldn't use a slim PS2 without a fan. overheating always causes problems.

order a new fan from ebay and install it. its really easy.

ime guna get 2 ps2's tomoz (1 fat and 1 slim)

ime 99% sure last time i had a slim it never had a fan, i had to take it apart for something and i never saw it

They have always had a fan..Have to for the cooling.

well i geuss no fan then no play.

why not go for a case mod? cut a square out and add your own fan with some led's
would make it look cool and stay cool
