Thought to be dead chip turned out to just be empty flash.
used freemcboot to ulaunchelf to flash toxicbios latest
I'm not good enough to do it like the pros but I can still make a working install! I am happy because I have been fighting with the ps2 chips for years on and off. Proud to say I can finally make it happen. Not pretty but surely functional.
Just get the right tools, glue gun a must. Lay the wires down together and cross minimally. The site for the chip itself really does have the right answer for installing. I just didnt read it and understand it well enough. You can do it too. I noticed a lot of people surely dislike the challenge of installing. But go slow and do it the best you can. Take your time. Took me 3 hours.
