Hey, I was messing around attempting to clean my laser, however, now my disc's do not spin. Well, I put the disc in, and I will watch it spin a hair, maybe about 1/20th of a turn or so, then it will just stop. It will go to the browser and display 'No Data', doesn't even say Reading Disc... constantly like it used to... Can anyone give me ideas as to what I may have done? P.S -- I also lube'd up the rails and cleaned off the motor's corkscrew-type thing, as well as adjust the screw by the laser attached to one of the rails.

EDIT: I have a pretty old v4 PS2. Also, the non-spinning disc is almost surely because of something that happened after I open'ed it up to clean off the laser.

could be that the laser is finally dead - the v4's are really old. what did you clean it with? did you maybe press down too hard on the laser?

I cleaned it with Isopropyl alcohol... and I am not sure, might have pushed down somewhat hard .

-- But it's probablly the laser's fault if it's only spinning like an inch?
