crystal v1.1 install
trying to install the crystal chip v1.1. need some info on this. what kind of wires are needed. i have the wraping wire 30 awg. but what about the ground and the 3v3 spot? also any helpful pointers on how to salder the pins on the bios without spilling salder onto the pin next to it. it is a verry tight fit and saldering iron tip is fairly big. not to shaby with a saldering iron.
i have experience with moding my psx but nothing this tight. can some one send a pic of a compleated install? i have a main bord GH-019.
i tride to install with all 30awg but it wouldent work so i compleatly removed it untill i can get some answers. when i had in installed the green light blinked once realy fast (on the off once) i put in a dvd and it wouldent reed it and tride a game and also would not reed it. plus when i turned it on it was making a bleep bleep bleep and the background was kinda red. it was difforent then the norm kinda like i put in a coppied game or disk. since i removed it the system is working fine now:-pray: . but i still want to get it installed. thanks for any help.

30awg should do it. You just want to keep your wires short as possible (I use 28awg which is thicker than I personaly like, but it's eaisier to find cheap here and I'm lazy). As for the power wires I use 26awg and it works fine (you can usualy just use any old cable that runs/ran power for a device). Pic for the top side of the board install below. GH-019 and GH-022 are V7s and install the same, but you can vary the install. I mainly do Ghost 2s, but the install method is the same. Ghost 2 install closer to how I do it below (you'll notice the main difference which makes it eaisier imo.
