I recently bought a set of Sony Componet cables for my ps2, the picture is amazing. But the sound crackles some times. Like when there is to much going on I hear some static or popping noises. I didn't have this problem with Yellow, red and white cables or with my Super video cable.

Example: On Max Payne 2 when I fire a gun it sounds great but when I go into slow motion it starts to pop, it does it really bad when I have 2 guns.
On Resident Evil 4 it did it the whole second boss fight. But after it sounded fine.

I have a hard drive installed and a Duo modchip.

Also sense I have used the cables I have had to turn my sound up to 17-20 to hear the game where as before I only needed 6-9. This isn't a problem. I don't mind it doing this I just wanted this noted.

Yep. All my other game systems sound fine.
Its only with the componet cable. Should I get it replaced?

Futher testing indicates that it is the jacks on the back of the TV of video 3.
Anyway I can get sound without using those jacks? Video 3 is the only one with component input.
