Controller Question –
11-12-2006,12:29 AM
Okay this is probly a very simple where to put the wires question. I've read tons of FAQS but just cant figure this out myself... ... Okay so here is the situation.
I have a Intec DDR Dance Pad, the connector to the ps2 has been chopped off and I was attempting to replace it. So I went and chopped off the correct end of a extension cable and attempted to connect the two. The problem is... This Particular dance pad only has 7 cables! And the extension cable had 9, plus a metal shielding around it which I wasnt sure if it was used as ground or just there to be there, the dance pad doesnt have a shielding around it.
I tried plugging in the correct collors together and leaving the extra 2 cables just dangling out, thinking that perhaps they wernt in the DDR Pad because the pad doesnt have analog sticks, well that might explain it I suppose, I plugged it into the PS2 and it doesnt work... Okay soooo I figure that I need to wire it different but I'm not sure how to start. Here is the wire colors for the Pad and the Plug that I'm trying to attach it to.
Intec Pad - Blue, Brown, Orange, Black, Red, Green, Yellow
AND
Extension Plug - Blue, Brown, Orange, Black, Red, Green, Yellow, White, Gray + A metal shielding around all the cords
Okay so I figure that I have to wire it different but I dont really know where to start, IF anyone can explain this to me or point me in the right direction of a FAQ or something that could explain it I would be very very happy
Thanks for anyone who took time to read this ^.^
