    hello i need some help with my ps2 here is the problem my ps2 controller or controller port is malfunctioning, because when i connect my memory card it is available just that i cant move anything but when i press the analog button the little red light turns on too

    and the controller isn't working?
    and your memorycard won't let you copy or move anything.

    Check your ribbon that connects to it first, make sure its pushed all the way in and locked.

    did you check it on both the controller port and the ps2 board?
    it sounds like you have a loose connection there somewhere.

    what version ps2 is it?

    i would say double check both ends of the ribbon.
    Are you seeing this problem only after installing the chip? or did it work after installing the chip and you're just now seeing this problem?
