Hi all, just recently finished my Crystal Chip 2.0 Pro install (which was fraught with it's own fun, but finished successfully yet not gracefully... 7 hours of work ::ugh:: ). I turned the system on before I put the entire case together, chip LED says it's good.
Putting the case back together, I noticed the ribbon cable for the controller/memory card inputs was loose (the clamp that holds it the PS2 mobo won't stay closed). Not thinking it was a big deal, closed the case, hooked it back up, and got ready to flash in 29 Hacked for my CC2P. Only problem was my controller wouldn't respond, so I couldn't get it to flash.
I'm pretty positive the problem is the clamp that holds the ribbon cable to the PS2 mobo. I just can't get that sucker to stay closed now. Is there anyway to get the ribbon to just stay where it is or force the clamp to stay closed? I was thinking hot glue, but I may want to take the case apart again sometime in the future. Or do I need a whole new clamp deal which means sending it out to a repair service (since I will never voluntarily try soldering more than 4 points on a PS2 ever again)? Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Before I forget, the PS2 is a v9. Yes, I did forget to do the laser fix so I guess this is a good thing since now I have to pull open the case anyway.
